Tzipi Livni Votes Against Democracy in Israel

By a vote of 68-22 the Israeli Knesset just voted to continue the legislative process with regards to the Golan Heights and Jerusalem Referendum Bill which stipulates that any withdrawal from east Jerusalem, the Golan or another area which under Israeli sovereignty would first have to be approved by the majority of the Israeli public. That seems to me to be a great idea and will keep any peace agreement from being jammed down Israel's throat. Of course, Tzipi Livni, the head of Kadima voted against it, saying that the people of Israel could not make decisions in place of the government they themselves had elected. The sense of entitlement in that statement is just mindblowing. I'm so glad she lost the election.
