Just days into the devastation, President Joe Biden said the feds have given all they can to the emergency response, and Kamala Harris is off campaigning — Donald Trump went to the scene in Georgia with relief material.

And Trump isn’t the only one helping the victims, as Mercury One is doing whatever it can to provide relief.

“I heard about the devastation that was happening, and I reached out to Corey [Mills], gave him a text, and said, ‘Hey, do you have any helicopters?’ He actually said, ‘Yeah, I’ve got helicopters.’ I said, ‘Great, we’ve got supplies. Let’s get it out there,’” JP Decker, executive director of Mercury One tells Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight.”

Former teacher to collect life-changing settlement after Virginia district fired him for refusing to use preferred pronouns

'I couldn’t say something that directly violated my conscience.'

A former high school teacher in Virginia will soon collect a settlement of nearly $600,000 after he was fired for refusing to refer to a female student using male pronouns.

For nearly seven years, Peter Vlaming taught French in West Point, Virginia, a city of about 3,400 residents about 40 miles east of Richmond. In the fall of 2018, a female student Vlaming already knew enrolled in his French II course.

In their previous interactions, the girl, referred to in court documents as "John Doe," had apparently accepted the use of a female French name and female pronouns, but by the time she arrived for French II, Vlaming had learned that she "desired to be called by a more culturally masculine name," court documents said.

Vlaming — whose religious beliefs uphold that "sex is fixed in each person, and that it cannot be changed, regardless of our feelings or desires" — tried to accommodate the student by avoiding pronouns in reference to her altogether and instead calling her by either her masculine English or French name.

Suspects reportedly in the US legally on work visas.

Tennessee authorities recently arrested eight migrant workers after they were allegedly caught looting homes in Washington County that were devastated by Hurricane Helene.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, five of the men — Albin Nahun Vega-Rapalo, 24; David Bairon Rapalo-Rapalo, 37; Kevin Noe Martinez-Lopez, 25; Marvin Hernandez-Martinez, 43; and Dayln Gabriel Guillen Guillen, 37 — were charged with aggravated burglary for allegedly breaking into occupied structures.

Suspects’ tattoos and social media posts indicate possible ties to a violent Venezuelan gang.

The two Venezuelan men accused of the brutal murder of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray in Houston are being investigated for possible links to the transnational criminal organization Tren da Aragua, according to search warrants obtained by KPRC-TV.

In June, 22-year-old Johan Jose Martinez-Rangel and 26-year-old Franklin Jose Peña Ramos — both of whom were unlawfully in the United States — allegedly lured Nungaray under a bridge after she stopped at a convenience store. The males, who were charged with capital murder for her death, allegedly stripped her, bound her wrists and ankles, and sexually assaulted her for hours. The child was strangled to death, and her body was tossed in a bayou.

Denmark police probe blasts near Israeli Embassy

Two blasts occurred overnight near the Israeli Embassy in Copenhagen. Police said no one was injured and an investigation was underway. Preliminary investigation suggests that two hand grenades were thrown.

Two blasts occurred near theIsraeli Embassy in  Copenhagen at 3:20 am, Danish police said on Wednesday. 

"It is our preliminary assessment that they were caused by two hand grenades," Jens Jespersen of the Copenhagen police said at a press conference.

Copenhagen police said they arrested three Swedish nationals, aged between 15 and 20, in relation to the two blasts.

According to police, one suspect was arrested near the scene shortly after the explosions, and the other two were detained later at Copenhagen Central Station, which caused temporary suspension of train and metro traffic.

Images published by Danish tabloid Ekstra Bladet showed armed military personnel guarding the building, with the surrounding area cordoned off.

However, it is still unclear if the embassy was the intended target, as the blasts occurred approximately 100 meters from the building.

"It is clear that the Israeli Embassy is in the immediate vicinity and that is naturally also an angle that we look at," Deputy Assistant Commissioner Jakob Hansen told reporters, but he added that it was "too early to say if there is a link" between the blasts and the embassy.

MS-13 member ‘Little Devil’ sentenced to 50 years for luring four to machete deaths in LI park

The evil MS-13 member known as “Little Devil” was sentenced to 50 years in prison for her part in luring four men to be hacked to death in a Long Island park.

Leniz Escobar, 24, “willingly and enthusiastically” helped plan and carry out the brutal April 2017 killing, US Judge Joseph Bianco said at the sentencing in Central Islip on Tuesday.

Escobar — who was known as “Diablita” (“Little Devil”) — was convicted in 2022 of four counts of murder in aid of racketeering and one count of racketeering in connection with the horrifying crime.
