Federal regulators are warning Americans not to use 26 over-the-counter eye drop products that they said could lead to eye infections — and partial vision loss or blindness.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said the products were marketed under CVS, Target and Rite Aid brands, as well as Velocity Pharma and Leader and Rugby, both under Cardinal Health.
"Patients who have signs or symptoms of an eye infection after using these products should talk to their health care provider or seek medical care immediately," a recall notice on the FDA's website said.
Regulators said these products are meant to be sterile. Ophthalmic drug products potentially create a heightened risk of harm as they are applied directly to eyes and bypass some of the body’s natural defenses.
The FDA recommended that the manufacturer recall all lots Wednesday, Oct. 25, after investigators found unsanitary conditions in the manufacturing facility, and positive bacterial test results from environmental sampling of vital drug production areas in the facility.
Consumers should properly discard these products, the FDA said. That means taking them to a drug take-back site, or ensuring the eye drops aren't included on the agency's so-called “flush list.”
CVS, Rite Aid and Target are removing the products from shelves and websites. Products branded as Leader, Rugby and Velocity may still be available to buy in stores and online, but should not be purchased, the FDA warned.
The agency said it has not received any reports of eye infections associated with the eye drops.
Rite Aid confirmed to The New York Times it was removing applicable Rite Aid branded products from shelves. A CVS spokeswoman told the newspaper it “immediately stopped the sale in-store and online of all products supplied by Velocity Pharma within the CVS Health Brand Eye Products portfolio,” and that customers can return the eye drops for a refund.

I have written extensively at Armageddon Prose and elsewhere about Canada’s liberal and loving “Medical Assistance in Dying” (MAID) program designed to help the serfs off themselves in an orderly, state-sanctioned fashion.
Trudeau’s governing authorities have gone as far as advocating the state killing of infants in the name of Equity™ or whatever. The government even produced a MAID coloring book for children to understand the merits of having the state kill you.
The Yale Daily News last week cut out the reference from an Oct. 12 column by sophomore Sahar Tartak titled “Is Yalies4Palestine a hate group?”
“I’m still collecting my thoughts on the YDN’s egregious correction,” Tartak, editor in chief of rival campus newspaper Yale Free Press, wrote on her X social media account on Monday.
She reposted a comment by a Yale professor, Nicholas Christakis, who asked: “Are the hostage-taking, murder of children in their beds, burning of people alive, and parading of nude captive women in the street also ‘unsubstantiated’?”
Tartak, from Great Neck, LI, penned the column five days after the Oct. 7 Hamas massacre that slaughtered more than 1,400 Israelis.
Scores of those who were killed had been taking part in a music festival a few miles from the Israel-Gaza border fence when Hamas terrorists invaded the area using paragliders and pickup trucks.
Tartak condemned Yalies4Palestine, a student group which posted messages on Instagram blaming Israel for the atrocities.

In the immediate aftermath of the Hamas assault, Yalies4Palestine posted an item on its official Instagram page which held “the Israeli Zionist regime responsible for the unfolding violence.”
Another social media post by Yalies4Palestine called on “the Yale community to celebrate the resistance’s success,” according to Tartak.
The group went on to express “full support of the Palestinian people’s right to resist colonization and return to their land” while dismissing “nonviolent acts of resistance” as ineffective.
“This language should terrify you,” Tartak wrote.
Israeli authorities have insisted they recovered the beheaded bodies of babies killed by Hamas gunmen who invaded towns along the frontier with the Gaza Strip. A handwritten note found on the body of a Hamas terrorist encouraged the jihadists to remove the heads, hearts and livers of their Israeli victims, Israel’s military said last week.
However, Hamas butchery has been met with skepticism and the Yale Daily News ran an editor’s note on Oct. 25 saying Tartak’s column “has been edited to remove unsubstantiated claims that Hamas raped women and beheaded men.”
The Post has sought comment from Tartak, the Yale Daily News, and Yalies4Palestine.
The controversy comes as Israel’s president revealed Monday that the German Israeli tattoo artist who was paraded through the streets of Gaza after being kidnapped by Hamas has been found dead after “sadistic” terrorists “chopped off her head.”
“I am truly sorry to report that we have now received news that Shani Nicole Louk has been confirmed murdered and dead,” Israeli President Isaac Herzog told the German newspaper Bild.
“Her skull was found,” he said, with the 23-year-old victim’s family also confirming that the death was confirmed by DNA on parts of her skull.
“This means that these barbaric, sadistic animals simply chopped off her head as they attacked, tortured and killed Israelis.”
Israeli military personnel involved in search and rescue operations of victims told reporters that they recovered beheaded bodies of infants at Be’eri, a kibbutz not far from the border fence ringing the Gaza Strip.
Israeli military Col. Golan Vach told reporters over the weekend that he found the body of a mother who was protecting a baby.
“When I pulled it over I saw a decapitated baby,” Vach told Agence France-Presse.
“I took it up with my hands and I carried it, and I put it in the body bag. I personally did it.”
Just days after the assault, President Biden condemned the beheading of babies — only later to acknowledge that he had not seen photos that confirmed this happened.
Hamas has denied the claims that it killed infants.
Democratic Rep. Andre Carson, who was one of 10 Democrats to vote against a resolution to condemn Hamas terrorist attack in Israel, has a long history of anti-Israel activism that has sparked controversy.
Carson’s stance on Israel was front and center over the weekend when he called fellow Democratic Rep. Josh Gottheimer, N.J., a “coward,” “punk” and “gangster” for his criticism against lawmakers who voted against a resolution to condemn Hamas and support Israel. Gottheimer, who is Jewish, used the word “despicable” to describe Democrats who opposed the resolution.
Fox News Digital reviewed Carson’s previous positions on Israel and found several examples of the congressman advocating anti-Israel positions.
In 2015, Carson met with Louis Farrakhan and told media outlets in 2018 he would not rule out meeting with him again in the future.

Farrakhan has called Jewish people “termites”, praised Hitler, and been criticized for a litany of derogatory statements about Israel.
Carson has opposed recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel as recently as 2017 and in 2019 Carson defended Rep. Ihan Omar when she was accused by House Republicans of antisemitism.
Carson was also one of 17 House members who voted against a measure opposing the BDS movement and signed onto a resolution that supported BDS, which effectively calls for the boycott of Israel products.
The Indiana Democrat has also made moves to prevent Israel from continuing to arm itself in the form of opposing a weapons sale to Israel in 2021 and being one of 9 House members to vote against Iron Dome funding that same year.
His support of Palestinians in the Hamas run Gaza Strip continued into this year when he voted against a pro-Israel resolution in July that condemned antisemitism after Democratic Rep. Pramila Jayapal called Israel a “racist state.”

Following the October 7 terrorist attack, which Carson voted against condemning last week, a senior legislative assistant who advises his office shared a post that justified the Hamas attack on Israel.
“It’s no surprise when people living under occupation decide to resist. Because the truth of occupation, what happens when you continually oppress an entire ethnic population, gradually steal its land, and collectively imprison it in ghettos, is that eventually the population will fight back,” read one post shared by Diala Qasem, originating from an account called “hiddenpalestine.”
The Indiana Democrat’s office did not respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

“I want to make it clear: I have condemned Hamas for their heinous attacks on civilians and call for an immediate release of the Israeli hostages,” Carson said in a statement after opposing the resolution condemning Hamas. “I continue to call for the safety of all civilians in the Middle East.”
“Unfortunately, today’s resolution H. Res. 771 is horribly one-sided. By failing to acknowledge the growing loss of Palestinian lives or that all Palestinians are not Hamas, this resolution creates further division and spurs harmful rhetoric.”
A Broadway theater producer is the latest New Yorker to be caught on film brazenly tearing down fliers of civilians in Israel kidnapped by Hamas terrorists, The Post has learned.
In a video shared online by neighborhood blog I Love the Upper West Side, James L. Simon, who co-produced the 2022 Broadway revival of Arthur Miller’s “Death of a Salesman,” is seen at West 62nd Street and Broadway using scissors to remove a poster featuring one of the roughly 200 hostages taken by Hamas during its Oct. 7 surprise attack on Israel.
The stone-faced Simon then crumpled up the flier, which had been taped to a traffic sensor box in the heavily Jewish neighborhood, before chucking it into a garbage can and silently walking off, the footage showed.
“You’re going to a dark and devious place if you’ve come to a place where you’re ripping posters off the wall of Israeli hostages, of innocent people held captive by terrorists,” former Broadway producer Adam Epstein, who hosts the podcast Dirty Moderate, told The Post.
Simon, who has also produced Broadway revivals of “Pippin” and “Bells Are Ringing,” told The Post he took down the fliers for the purpose of keeping the city’s streets clean, not for antisemitic reasons, and apologized for offending anyone.
“I’m a strong supporter of free speech and encourage people to express their opinions, but all I’m asking is to do it legally,” he said, citing city Sanitation Department rules.
Videos of New Yorkers ripping down similar kidnap posters around the city have surfaced, putting on blast a New York University student, teens on the Upper East Side, and Brooklyn husband-wife couple.
