Plug-in cars
The often used electricity rate to promote plug-in cars is $0.11/kwh. But if you pay attention to your utility bill you'll see that that rate is limited to the first few hundred kWh. The real rate when you get into the amount of power you'll be using to charge a car is more like $.44/kWh.
What will the rate be after you add this extra load factor on the utilities? Plus, add cap and trade to that and it's not hard to see rates in excess of $1.00/kWh.
