Political correctness is killing us, literally.
A former co-worker of Orlando nightclub shooter Omar Mateen claimed he complained to his former employer several times about Mateen’s “unhinged” behavior, but they refused to take action because he was Muslim. On Sunday, Mateen opened fire on a popular gay club, killing 49 people and injuring 53 others before being killed himself in a shootout with officers.
Daniel Gilroy, a former Fort Pierce police officer, told Florida Today that he once worked at G4S Security with Mateen in 2014-2015. He said Mateen acted “unhinged and unstable” and regularly made homophobic and racial remarks.
“I quit because everything he said was toxic, and the company wouldn’t do anything. This guy was unhinged and unstable,” Gilroy told the outlet.
He also claimed Mateen “talked of killing people.”
The company’s inaction, Gilroy claimed, was due to the fact that Mateen was Muslim.
Gilroy said he quit his job with G4S Security when Mateen allegedly started sending him up to 30 text messages a day and calling him up to 15 times. He likened the behavior to stalking.
