In the final day before the pivotal midterm elections, President Donald Trump had to stop his speech at a campaign rally in Missouri over a medical emergency – and then the audience did something remarkable.
“A lot of love in this room!!”
Many reports on social media said that a woman fainted at the Trump rally in ape Girardeau, Missouri, when the president stopped the proceedings completely to make sure that medical attention could be provided to her.
As they waited for medical personnel to attend to her, someone in the audience called for a prayer and the president agreed, asking that someone pray for the woman. After about eight minutes, the audience began to sing “Amazing Grace” to show their support.
“That was really something I wanna just thank everybody for the way you behaved, that was beautiful,” the president said after the woman was wheeled out.
“At the end was beautiful, Amazing Grace, thank you,” he added. “That was really beautiful. Hopefully she’ll be OK, hopefully she’ll be OK.”
“The @realDonaldTrump rally just broke out into a spontaneous “Amazing Grace” hymn as a rally goer fainted and was wheeled off!” tweeted Kayleigh McEnany.
“A lot of love in this room!!” she added.
Here’s the video of the moment the audience began singing:

While they were waiting, one man yelled, “CNN sucks!” to great laughter and applause.
The rally was the president’s closing argument for support of Republican candidates in the midterm elections on Tuesday. Historically, the party in power of the Oval Office loses many seats to the opposing party – many hope that the president will be able to buck the trend.

Here’s the full eight minute audio of the interruption:
