Joshua Bell, 19, was charged with murder, robbery, burglary and criminal possession of a weapon in the Sept. 9 murder of Ying Zhu Liu, who was callously shot in the face in the hallway of the family’s Lower Manhattan condo building at 44 Market Street, police said.
The violent ordeal unfolded around 11 p.m. when the two ski mask-wearing suspects followed Liu’s husband, Shen Yan, 61, into the condo’s elevator around 10:50 p.m. and pulled a handgun on him, according to police.
The young criminals then snatched Yan’s Samsung phone and $100 in cash, according to a criminal complaint.
