That these people are not held accountable for their destructive behavior tells you how far civilization has fallen

Inside the degenerate ‘cult’ that trashed their own taxpayer funded LA apartment

If chaos has a home, it’s a 12th-floor studio apartment in downtown Los Angeles.

A group of heavily tattooed influencers, who refer to themselves as an artist collective and “cult” called “Sigil Kult,” have earned online infamy by wrecking their taxpayer-funded apartment in Downtown Los Angeles — and broadcasting it on social media.

The subsidized unit, located in the historic and once-elegant Alexandria Hotel, has graffiti covering the walls, smashed mirrors, and trash and drug paraphernalia littering the floor, videos posted to Instagram show.

The “cult” was evicted from the premises last week, but not before the unemployed hooligans racked up scores of followers, who are both fascinated and disgusted, on social media with their antics.

In one post, Sigil Kult performs some kind of bizarre ritual on a naked member lying on the grubby floor of the apartment. It is captioned, “Making promises in LA.”

In another — captioned “Section 8 K,” an apparent reference to the Section 8 program, which subsidizes rent for low-income households — a member is seen ripping out the bathroom mirror with a hammer, then smashing the wall.

The Alexandria first opened in 1906 as a luxury hotel, before it steadily deteriorated and was converted into low-income housing in 2005.

Sigil Kult is led by 32-year-old Ricky Nelson, dubbed “Egg God,” who was the official tenant of the $300-a-month subsidized apartment.

Other members include 24-year-old Kataryna Duarte, who describes herself as a “mystic and seer,” 26-year-old Ruben Blotsky aka “Ruben Cloud,” and Salvi June.

Blotsky told the California Post that the outlandish antics are for clout.

“We know how to use it and make y’all mad,” he said of the group’s social media.

“People aren’t appreciating it because they feel we’re vandalizing it and stuff — I’d say we are,” he added defiantly.

“It’s chaotic in there.”

Other videos show the deadbeats lounging around in their apartment, drinking and dancing. Graffiti scrawled on the walls and windows reads, “Kill Me,” and “F–k Trump.”

“We were bored, making music,” Blotsky said.

“Everything has started going really insane. People have started paying attention. There’s an energy to it.”

Nelson — who the California Post spotted being led around on a leash by a woman — is “the crazy one” but also the “star” of the group, Blotsky said.

“He’s above this world and this world makes him angry all the time because they don’t understand him and they just want to put him away,” he said of Sigil Kult’s leader.

The only woman in the group, Duarte, said the group is all unemployed and is living off “donations.”

“We’re all unemployed. This is what we do. We make money from a lot of donations,” she told the California Post.

“A couple of people gave us $200 yesterday. It just keeps coming in like water. People are investing in us for music and our dreams. I did a spell for the money to come in and it worked,” she said.

But while their trashed abode has evaded their grasp, Sigil Kult’s fame is still on the rise.

The group recently appeared on YouTuber Adam22’s popular “No Jumper” podcast. Adam22 has nearly 5 million subscribers to his channel.

“I kidnapped a guy, I got naked, someone highjacked my brain, I got naked, I forced someone to call 9-1-1 on me,” Nelson ranted to Adam22, according to a clip posted on Instagram.

Still, plenty of excited commenters showered the group with compliments.

“THIS IS WHERE THE FORTUNE BEGINS,” one said. “This is the best day of my life,” another remarked.

The group was later seen mouthing along to June’s single “Onions” in the clip with the podcaster.

Where do they go from here?

Blotsky told The Post the homeless group’s ultimate goal is to “bring LA back.”

“The goal is to bring LA back. LA is dead now. There’s no more life to the city. We can bring that back. The people that brought light (to the city) were killed or died. There’s a lot of culture and history that’s still here,” he said.
