Addressing multiple news outlets near a park not far from the BP gas station that protesters set ablaze Saturday night, Smith’s sisters spoke passionately about the about the grief and rage felt by the community.
Kimberly Neal, Smith’s other sister, made a plea for peace.
“At the end of the day, acting out ain’t gonna solve it. Ain’t gonna solve nothing for Sylville. The city went crazy (Saturrday) night over Syville. We tired of it. We tired,” she said.
But with cameras still rolling, Sherelle posed her own solution for what to do moving forward (Content warning: Strong language):
Police said one person was shot during Sunday evening’s protests, and officers had to use an armored vehicle to retrieve the injured victim, but there was no repeat of widespread destruction of property.
What a fine example of shitbaggery. Glad he’s out of the genepool.
Meet Sylville Smith, the thug whose death sparked the Milwaukee riots. Cute isn’t he? Last year, Smith was charged with first-degree recklessly endangering safety for a shooting incident. While Smith was in jail he kept pleading in his phone calls from jail, with his girlfriend to talk to the victim of that crime to change his testimony. Finally he did and prosecutors dropped the charges against Smith. That is odd, since they had the recordings of the phone calls and could have charged both Smith and his girlfriend with witness tampering.
Isn’t he cute?
Smith had been in trouble with the law dating back at least to 2011, according to arrest records released by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office late Sunday. He was arrested or ticketed nine times in that period — for the shooting, a robbery, carrying a concealed weapon, theft, possession of heroin and more. His most recent arrest was July 22 for possession of cocaine, records show.
Last year, Smith was charged with first-degree recklessly endangering safety and with witness intimidation, but the charges were dismissed, court records show.
The charges were dropped even though the prosecutors had recorded jail calls in which Smith asked his girlfriend to pressure the victim to recant, according to court records.
In the witness intimidation case, Smith was accused of pressuring the victim in a shooting to recant a statement identifying him as the suspect, according to the criminal complaint.
……Milwaukee police say Smith was armed when he fled a traffic stop about 3:30 p.m. Saturday near W. Auer Ave. and N. 44th St. The officer ordered Smith to drop his gun and when he did not, the officer fired and wounded the man in the chest and arm, according to preliminary information provided by Mayor Tom Barrett.Milwaukee police say Smith was armed when he fled a traffic stop about 3:30 p.m. Saturday near W. This kills me:
Mildred Haynes, Smith’s mother, said police have told her very little so far about the death of her son, who is a father to a 2-year-old boy.
“My son is gone due to the police killing my son,” she said Sunday. “I am lost.”
Where in the hell was his mother while he was playing around with guns, emulating the gangsta culture, and committing crimes? The same parents who don’t try to keep their kids out of trouble and maybe instill some values and discipline, are the first to be seen crying on TV outside the police tape after their kid has been shot dead. Instead of reflecting on their failure, they jump on the bandwagon with a contingent of race-baiting attention whores.
The cop who shot the mutherfucker
was black. Kinda takes the wind out of their narrative.
Newsflash Haynes: You reap what you sow.
