A Yale Law professor allegedly claimed on Twitter that everyone from former Soviet bloc countries she asked over the last decade and a half said "life was better" under USSR rule, Campus Reform reported.

"Every single person I have ... asked in Central Asia (and Eastern Europe) over the past decade and a half has said life was better under the Soviets — 100 percent," Emily Jane O'Dell tweeted Tuesday, the outlet said.
As part of the same thread, O'Dell also allegedly wrote that an "Ivy League professor" she didn't name "said coming to America was the greatest mistake of her life & she will be returning soon to her post-Soviet nation [because] neoliberal late capitalism is devoid of all humanity," Campus Reform added.
The professor in question also said, "At least we were human," according to O'Dell's alleged tweet, Campus Reform said — the implication being that capitalists aren't human.
Campus Reform said it reached out to O'Dell and Yale for comment but didn't receive a response in time for publication. Her Twitter account also appears to have been deactivated.
O'Dell's Yale Law bio says she's a "Research Scholar in Law and Islamic Law and Civilization Research Fellow at Yale Law School and an editor of SHARIAsource at Harvard Law School, after having spent over half a decade teaching in the Middle East at the American University of Beirut as the Whittlesey Chair of History and Archaeology and at Sultan Qaboos University in the Sultanate of Oman. She is an expert on Islam, Sufism, and Islamic law."

O'Dell previously asked on Twitter "should white men be required by law to attend re-education centers to help prevent mass shootings (not to mention widespread domestic violence)?" after the Tree of Life synagogue shooting, according to Campus Unmasked.
"Imagine being raised as a white man to have no awareness of (let alone empathy for) others," she wrote in July. "Deep down inside they know there's something fundamental missing--hence all the violence towards others."
O'Dell claimed that white men lack "humanity," "culture," "insight," "wisdom," "strength," and "love." She even suggested that white men are privileged and selfish and "can't jump or dance."
